In another move to establish itself as a full service real estate company at a time when company officials say many in the business community are re-evaluating their assets, Troop Real Estate, Inc. announces the formation of a Business Brokerage Division to be headed by Randall J. Barondess, a 24-year veteran of business, mergers and acquisitions, as well as real estate and sales experience. Noting that the new division comprises a natural complement to Troop’s ongoing Commercial Division, Scott Dunbar, manager of the division, said: “We are excited and pleased to announce the affiliation of Randy Barondess with Troop Real Estate as director of business brokerage. This aspect of commercial real estate must be operated by someone of the highest experience, as it deals with so many facets of the business owner.” Barondess comes to Troop after serving as CEO for Welle International, a worldwide furniture conglomerate, and CFO for CMA Logistics. These affiliations provided him with extensive experience in quarterly, semiannual, and annual inventory audits, variance reporting, and balance sheet reconciliation. In this connection he worked closely with partners and accountancy staffs of Price Waterhouse Coopers and P.K.F. worldwide while conducting financial reviews, quarterly, semiannual and year-end audits for both internal and due diligence reporting. Barondess also lists 16 years military experience, including the U.S. Air Force, NATO and U.S. Coast Guard. His education includes the Air Force, the University of Maryland, and Big Bend College in Washington state with a focus on business administration, finance, and general accounting.
